In order to build the temple within...one must accomplish inner work. To become virtuous is to strive for a Christic level of perfection...essentially becoming of an unapproachable purity of soul. This is the Great Work of the Craft. There is the mystic path and operative path. Both are available in masonry. The achievement of or obtainment of gnosis thru dedicated studies of information is complimented by the repetitious ritual work which instills things in a most subliminal manner. In the end...the goal is the same: reintegration with the Most High.

Rectified, I gotto tell you... great post! I love the word Virtue
When one asks what Freemasonry is about I touch on things from your post. Great words as Virtue is something I, as well as every Mason, strives or should strive for. Thats how the craft helps a Man become a better person.
