When a candidate is about to enter the Lodge for the first time, he is asked if he seek membership "by a favorable opinion conceived of the Institution...?"
So, we reasonably expect that the candidate has some "preconceived" notion of what Masonry is and that it is a positive image.
What were your "preconceived" notions and have they been found to be valid?
